Measure one real batch
Record time spent reading, checking the brief, writing notes and assembling the call list. Exclude interviews and sourcing if the service you are comparing does not cover them.
Give the time a sensible value
For an illustrative batch of 60 CVs at three minutes each, the reading alone takes three hours. At a chosen internal value of $40 per hour, that is $120. These are example inputs, not claims about your desk or our savings.
Include the review you still need to do
You must read the output, challenge uncertain recommendations and make the decisions. Subtract that time from any gross saving. A service that moves work around without reducing it has not helped.
Test before you commit
Use a free role to compare the output with your own first pass. Was the evidence accurate? Were the questions useful? Did it change the quality or timing of your next call? Those answers matter more than a headline efficiency claim.
TAKE THIS BACK TO YOUR DESK
A simple calculation
Net value = your usual first-pass cost − your review time cost − the service price. Use actual time from the trial before buying a role pack.
